In an article published in the Journal of Pain, researchers theorized that caffeine eases delayed muscle pain by blocking the activity of a chemical called adenosine. Adenosine is released as part of the inflammatory response to injury. It can activate pain receptors in body cells, they say.

The research disclosed that in an experiment conducted, it was discovered that caffeine equal to 2 cups of brewed coffee, taken an hour before the activity, could produce a large reduction in pain resulting from eccentric exercise.

Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar is a problem that is much over-looked by many doctors today. Hypoglycemia can be due to alimentary problems, idiopathic causes, fasting, insulinoma, endocrine problems, extrapancreatic causes, hepatic disease, and miscellaneous causes. Sometimes the cause of hypoglycemia is unknown (idiopathic). In these cases, people who are not diabetic and who do not have another known cause of hypoglycemia experience these symptoms. Hypoglycemia can produce a variety of symptoms and effects but the principal problems arise from an inadequate supply of glucose as fuel to the brain, resulting in impairment of function ( neuroglycopenia ). Insulin is a hormone that reduces blood glucose. It is produced by the pancreas in response to increased glucose levels in the blood. The symptoms of hypoglycemia can vary from person to person, as can the severity. Hypoglycemia, also called low blood sugar, occurs when your blood glucose (blood sugar) level drops too low to provide enough energy for your body’s activities. There is another type of hypoglycemia. In some people, the body simply responds differently to the digestion of foods. Some foods are digested and absorbed rapidly, resulting in a burst of glucose entering the bloodstream. Classically, hypoglycemia is diagnosed by a low blood sugar with symptoms that resolve when the sugar level returns to the normal range.

Hair comes with different color and shapes. Do you know why? Let’s find out here!

What is hair made of?

Hair is primarily made of a protein called keratin. Fingernails are also made of keratin, but it appears colorless because it lacks the pigment called Melanin, a dark-brown substance that “colors” our hair and our skin and products us from radiation from the sun.

What determines the color of our hair?

The color of our hair depends on the amount of melanin on each strand. Black hair contains the most, while blonde contains the least. Brown, red, and chestnut-color hair are somewhere in between.

The human immune defense system consists of two main components, the innate and adaptive. The innate component is so named because it is a general defense system. It is not specialized or specific but consists of basic defenses such as barriers, guard cells and an alarm system. The adaptive component is also aptly named because it develops or adapts over time as a more specialized and specific response.
